The diffuser is a nice, rich brown color that blends in nicely with our dark wood furniture. The basin is very large and appears to be able to go more than 8 hours without refilling. It is also whisper quite and can be placed in a bedroom without bothering your sleep. It also emits a large enough mist to deodorize our great room very easily which is about 500 square feet
